This month’s theme, “Your Unique Selling Point”, feels especially important for career women — especially when you’re trying to stand out long before anyone gets the chance to meet you in person and feel your energy. Before the interview or the conversation, it’s your story, your words, and your CV doing the heavy lifting. And many of us know the feeling of constant rejection and not fully understanding why we weren’t chosen. ( trust me, I know first-hand from sending 300 applications.)

But here’s the thing: every experience you’ve had is uniquely yours. Your unique selling point is not just your job title or technical skills. Skills can be learned, and tasks can be performed, but what makes you you is irreplaceable, and that’s your gold. Maybe you’re the person who sees patterns quicker than everyone else. Maybe you’re the emotional safe haven who can hold space during high-conflict meetings. Maybe you bring calmness, curiosity, humor, empathy, resilience, or the ability to connect people in ways others can’t. Those things matter a lot, especially now, as we enter the age of AI, where emotional intelligence, human connection, and original perspective are becoming more valuable than ever.

As career women and internationals in Denmark, many of us constantly find ourselves reinventing our identities, strategies, and sometimes even our direction. And here at Career Club DK, we’re also entering a new chapter — with fresh energy, new voices, and a renewed vision for the newsletter.

So firstly, a warm hello from all of us.

From June onwards, the newsletter team welcomes a brand-new mix of personalities, perspectives, and experiences. You might be wondering who’s behind the scenes, so here’s a short introduction:

Ophelia Wu (Director of Newsletter) — Brings nearly two decades of expertise across editorial, fashion, and trend forecasting to the team. She combines strategic vision with intuitive insight, with a knack for finding the channel between what sits on the surface and what truly lies deeper beneath it. Through fashion and energy work, she helps people attune their style with their true sense of self.

Denisa-Nicoleta Turceasca (Co-Director of Newsletter & Wingwoman) — Brings eight years of e-commerce, content ops, and SEO expertise to the team by making systems work for people, not the other way around. She brings operational precision and genuine warmth to everything she touches, ensuring our newsletter runs smoothly while keeping our community at the heart of what we do.

Nevena Ikonic (Data & Newsletter Manager) —Translates complex data and analytics into meaningful insights. She looks past the raw numbers to understand the real human stories and preferences behind our community's engagement.

Emilie Fiirgaard (Newsletter Manager) — Blends a deep passion for human stories with a strategic approach to communication. She brings a rich background in publishing and marketing, with experience writing everything from poetry and scripts to SEO landing pages and white papers. She has dedicated much of her spare time to volunteering with international organisations, aiming to create vibrant communities for people from all walks of life.

Slava Denys (Newsletter Manager) — Channels her expertise in communications into creating impactful content. She brings a fresh, global perspective to the team, ensuring our messaging remains relevant and inclusive.

Val Khorishko (Newsletter Manager) — With a decade of communications experience spanning tech, healthcare, energy, venture capital, and finance under her belt, she loves to collaborate across teams to turn complex topics into engaging human-centered narratives. Having lived, worked, and studied in five countries on two continents, Val looks at our work through a truly cross-cultural lens.

Together, each of us brings our own skills, values, experiences, and personalities to the table, just like every one of you in this community. And perhaps that’s exactly the point of this month’s theme.

During our careers, it’s normal to fear change: a new role, a new industry, a new country, a new company, or even a completely new version of ourselves. It can feel daunting. Are we capable enough? Can we manage? Do we belong here? This is precisely where your unique selling point becomes your anchor. Once you own that foundation, you can confidently build your elevator pitch and carve out your own niche in every single role you play.

Change also creates possibilities.

Our team is navigating this newness too, and what makes it exciting rather than intimidating is knowing that each person brings something different and valuable. When people understand their strengths and support one another, uncertainty becomes momentum, and that’s where the magic happens.

This month, we invite you to reflect on your unique selling point. Not your job title or the tagline on LinkedIn. But the qualities, perspectives, experiences, and values that make you uniquely you.

And because no woman thrives entirely alone, we’d also love to hear from you. Going forward, we welcome your stories, feedback, ideas, and suggestions — whether you’d like to be featured, interviewed, or simply share your perspective with the community.

Here’s to new voices, fresh energy, and growing together.
